Meet Justin Park: EXO Korea Product & Operations Manager

Justin will drive creative product development and operations in EXO's newest destination

EXO Travel welcomes Hyunkyu (Justin) Park to the team as Product and Operations Manager for Korea. Justin brings more than fifteen years industry experience to the role, as well as a deep passion for travel and his country.

‘Travel brings joy to people, and I believe its value is immense.’ Justin explains. ‘This is what attracted me to the tourism industry. I am able to do meaningful work that is enjoyable and something to be proud of.’

 

Justin entered the tourism industry in 2007, beginning in sales before transitioning into marketing and product development. After a decade working with a multi-national inbound and outbound travel company, Justin ventured into entrepreneurship. He established a group tour platform, serving as its CEO for a five year period until the COVID-19 pandemic forced the business to shut down.

A kind and culturally inquisitive person, Justin brings the vital human connection that we need to show the personal stories and hidden gems of Korea.

Coming out of the pandemic, Justin worked as a manager for an inbound travel company before joining the EXO team in mid-2023. His extensive experience and immense local knowledge will be of great value in his role as Product and Operations Manager.

‘Having Justin join as the Product and Operations Manager, and the first member of our EXO Korea team, reflects the importance that we place on product and passion for the destination,’ remarked Ruben Dersken, Director of Product and Commercial.

‘A kind and culturally inquisitive person, Justin brings the vital human connection that we need to show the personal stories and hidden gems of Korea. And he also has the operational expertise to ensure we consistently deliver the high quality standards that EXO is known for.’

As Korea is a new destination for EXO, we asked Justin to share a bit of inspiration about his home country.

‘If I had to choose just one place for guests to visit, I would pick Seoul. It’s a city that encapsulates Korea’s history while seamlessly integrating the latest technology into daily life.’, Justin explains. He continues, ‘What’s particularly great is that you can go hiking or enjoy biking in this fantastic city within a 30-minute journey.’

He’s excited to introduce Korea to EXO’s partners. ‘In my experience, I found that the more meticulous and perfect the planning, the higher the customer satisfaction naturally followed,’ Justin explains. ‘Now, I’m thrilled that I can bring the wonderful planning skills I used to do in the outbound sector to Exo Travel’s inbound customers.’
